3 Reasons to be a Godly Business Leader

Being Godly isn’t just for church. It’s for every area of our lives!

God moves in the marketplace, and all throughout scripture, we see people raised up with ability and excellence that impacted the marketplace sector. People like Joseph, Daniel, David, and Solomon.

These men served God in their work, and it impacted generations.

Today, the marketplace sector needs to see God reflected. More than ever, we must have integrity, values, and ethics that reach beyond money and touch the heart. When businesses thrive, the community prospers. When businesses thrive, people have opportunities. When businesses thrive, people have the resources to do good.

“When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.”

Proverbs 29:2

Notice, being a Godly leader causes others to rejoice and have opportunities. Being a Godly leader is more than the bottom dollar, it’s about impacting others and our communities.

So here are three reasons to be a Godly business leader.

First, having integrity protects you.

“People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.”

Proverbs 10:9

Integrity is doing things God’s way. When you do that, you’re protected. This speaks of doing business with values and ethics that are based in God’s word. This is how we’re called to do life as business leaders.

We’re not here to cheat people, get one up on people, or take shortcuts. We’re called to bless people and do good.

Second, God will bless you.

“The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”

Proverbs 10:22

When we do business God’s way, he blesses us in ways that are abundant. The blessing of God rests on his people when we honor Him. This is powerful because the blessing of God is greater than the curse of the enemy.

This speaks to letting God in our world by directing our conduct to be like him. This is in our personal lives and in our business lives. It’s public and private. It’s in business and in church.

This is where God blesses us abundantly in ways we can’t explain. His blessings are financial, physical, emotional, mental, and more. It covers every area of our lives, and it makes us rich in all things.

Third, your work will outlive you.

“They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.”

Psalms 112:3

When we are Godly business leaders, our good deeds will last forever. We all want to make a difference beyond our lifetime. We all want to do something that counts beyond ourselves.

This is because God made us this way.

There is something special about making an impact beyond our lives. It gives meaning, and it’s a legacy that lives longer than we do.

This is possible when you are godly business leaders.

Treating people right, doing business right, growing in your skill, developing in excellence, and being a part of God‘s plan all mean something. It matters, and it both glorifies God and blesses others.

Today, choose to be a Godly business leader.

Being one will bless you, your family, your community, and beyond.

This is your moment, we need you, and you can make a difference.

Have a great week, and the best is yet to come!
