A Living Hope

A Living Hope

Easter season is here! Which gives us a chance to remember what Jesus did on the cross and that He lives today.

There’s something powerful when we remember because it can stir our faith and bring us back to our first love. Easter is the evidence of His grace and mercy, changing who we are. Jesus lives!

Because of His resurrection, we have a living hope, literally!

Jesus is our Hope and because He lives, we have a living Hope in Him. This shapes our world outlook and what we see as possible. It’s only through Jesus that limitations are removed and miracles happen. He is the hope that humanity is yearning for.

So, let’s not repeat the mistake the Israelites made by limiting God. He’s able and willing to move in our lives.

”Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.“

Psalms‬ ‭78‬:‭41‬

What are you hoping for?

Jesus can do it! Our part is to hold tightly to this Hope and never let it go.

This means through disappointment, frustrations, pain, joy, promotions, and miracles, we hold onto the living Hope through Jesus!

He does the miracles, we believe He can do it. He does the impossible, we believe He can do it. The point is, that He does the work, we believe in Him to do the work. Knowing this empowers us to cast our cares onto Him and let Him move.

”Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.“

I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭7‬

This Easter season I encourage you to worship Jesus. Remember what He did and that He lives today! He is A living Hope that we have and nothing impossible with Him.

Is it thriving or withering?

No matter where it is, we must feed our faith, love, and hope through Jesus. When we feed these things, they grow. When we feed these things, we grow. When we feed these things our faith grows.

So, here are three ways we can feed our Hope.

1st – Remember what He’s done.

I can’t emphasize enough, how powerful remembering what God has done is for us. When we do this, we’re putting before our eyes, mind, and heart on what God has done. This shapes our thought patterns and helps us have authority over the wrong ones.

This is massive when you think about how often we’re tempted to believe that God won’t or can’t do it. From these thoughts, our attention is directed at what didn’t happen or the things we’re still waiting on. Thus, we forget what has happened and how Jesus has done more than we can count.

So when we remember what He’s done, our faith is stirred. Our Hope thrives and our expectation is in Jesus alone.

I highly encourage you to write down a list of the things God has done and then read over it daily. Then, when new things happen, add them to the list. This will be a thank-you list that helps you give thanksgiving and praise to God for who He is and what He’s done.

2nd – Read Bible stories and modern stories of God moving for people.

Have you noticed how we’re bent toward negative stories? We know this because they feed gossip, drama, fear, salacious details, and more. These can consume our minds which is feeding wrong things in us.

Conversely, Bible stories and modern stories of God moving for people fills us with Hope, life, peace, and faith. If God has done something for one person, He can do it for the next person.

What we eat determines our health. What content we eat determines our spiritual health.

I encourage you to read the Bible daily and listen to modern testimonies of what God has done in the lives of others. He’s able and He’s willing to do the same things for you.

3rd – Find specific stories that are what you’re believing for.

When we’re specific with our faith, we can latch on to what Jesus has done and will do in that area. For example, if you believe in your marriage to be healed, find testimonies of marriages being restored and made new. If you believe in healing mentally, find testimonies of people having their minds made new. If you need a miracle from an incurable disease, find testimonies of people who have been healed and are thriving today.

This is a specific way to feed our Hope and to latch on to what God can do for us. The word testimony means He will do it again.

So, when we hear these stories, it builds our faith and it’s declaring God will do it again. I believe He will do it again for you. I believe He’s coming through and your Hope will be fulfilled. I believe He’s going to come through for you because He is a living Hope!

I encourage you to find stories that are of the same thing and listen to them daily.

Right now as I write this blog, I listen to a story every day of how God came through for someone. This builds my faith that if God did it for Him, He can do it for me. After I watch it, I say this out loud to myself and I feed my faith and starve any doubt.

Try it today! Find a story or two that is specific to what you’re believing for and begin to listen to it daily. Push through yourself and let your Hope thrive in Jesus.

We have a living Hope and I pray this Easter, you draw to Jesus and see His hand move in your life.

God bless you and the best is yet to come!
