He Lives!

He Lives!

Happy Easter!

The evidence of the resurrection of Jesus is all around us, and it permeates through our lives.

Like the old song says, “You ask me how I know He lives. He lives within my heart.”

”For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.“

Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬

There’s something about Jesus that changes us from the inside out. He’s real, He’s alive, He’s moving, He’s speaking and He’s touching people today.

This is the reality of people all over the world as His Church multiplies more and more. Oh yes, Jesus is alive and doing miracles in our hearts, minds, and more. He’s healing our past, making us new, and breaking off old patterns that cripple us. He’s making a way that we didn’t know was there and He’s giving us a chance to live beyond what we’ve known.

Because Jesus lives, we live too!

We can live with the expectation that He never leaves us or forsakes us.

”For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”

Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭5‬

Today, there’s nothing He can’t do and His attention is toward people! He’s reaching to save them, heal them, deliver them, and work out the details of their lives. This is His heart for you, me, our families, our friends, our enemies, and more. He’s reaching with resurrection life to give new beginnings to any who call on His name.

This is the season for us to remember that He defeated death, hell, and the grave. He overcame it, so we could overcome it. He defeated it, so we could live in the victory of His resurrection.

When we remember this, we’re brought back to our first faith that He Lives!

The fact He Lives is enough.

It’s enough to believe that He’s able to heal our marriages, redeem our families, give peace in our minds, deliver us from torment, give us a new heart, mend our bodies, and do the impossible. He lives and because of this, we live!

Here’s how the Bible says it,

”My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.“

Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬

Notice it’s Jesus that lives inside of us.

So, here are three things to do this Easter.

1st – Be thankful.

Being thankful is godly and spiritual. It brings us into the presence of God and it causes our perspective to be healthy and right. This is why the enemy attacks us with being unthankful because something great happens when we’re thankful.

So this Easter, let’s determine to be thankful. Let’s lift our hearts in thanks for who He is and what He’s done. Let’s remember that He lives and how the evidence of His resurrection is real in us.

He’s worthy of our lives. Please choose to be thankful, God is in it and works through it.

2nd – Reach out to others.

Easter is a great time to invite family and friends to church. I encourage you to utilize this religious holiday, by inviting those in your life.

One invite can change a life and a family for eternity.

The people God has put in our lives are there for us to show them who Jesus is. So utilizing Easter is a great way to invite them to Church. I firmly believe when we reach out to others, we begin to grow.

When we shut down and only live for ourselves, we begin to wither. Jesus has called us to look up to Him and then to look out to others. He has designed us to make a difference, and when we receive this, He will give us the opportunity to do it.

Reach out and do it. God can use an invitation and change someone’s world.

It was stated in a survey that they found that people who don’t go to church would go if they were invited, especially around the Easter and Christmas holidays.

Look up and look out, Jesus is reaching through you for others!

3rd – Celebrate with others.

Easter is a great time to celebrate with family and friends. This season gives a holiday to come together around Jesus and make memories. Being together should NOT be underestimated because these moments imprint our hearts and minds forever. Plus, bonds are strengthened and hearts are connected. The flow of God for our lives is to be in a relationship with Him and with others.

This also shows why the enemy attacks our faith and our relationships more than anything else. There’s something about both that He can’t stop.

He lives and when He lives in us, we reflect Jesus in our world. When we do life with others, we reflect the love of Jesus in our world too.

Unity, forgiveness, laughter, fun, love, connection, conversation, meals, support, safety, and more reflect the nature of God through relationships.

So, celebrate with others and take in the moments that we have. This is why the present is a gift!

Happy Easter and may Jesus be alive in you.
