Thank God For Mother’s Love
Happy Mother’s Day Weekend!
Mothers’ love carries a unique, God-given ability that is both powerful and deeply influential. Their touch, words, and love often shape us for generations. There’s something about the role of a mother’s love that reflects the heart of God toward us.
In a healthy mother, we see a glimpse of how God loves, nurtures, and protects us. This symbolism gives us insight into both the heart of God and the heart of a mother.
But for some, Mother’s Day brings pain — perhaps due to the absence of a mother or the presence of a broken relationship. If that’s you, know this: God is faithful. He sees you, He is with you, and He can bring healing and provide spiritual mother figures to fill those gaps.
Whatever emotions this weekend brings, God cares deeply about where you are and how you feel.
As you read on, I pray your faith and hope are strengthened. God is working in you and through you.
Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so he spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions.
Deuteronomy 32:11
This verse gives us a beautiful image of God’s heart — and it mirrors what we often see in a mother’s love. Here are four powerful truths from this scripture:
1. He Rouses Us
God stirs us into action. He awakens purpose in our hearts and leads us forward in faith. When we step out to follow Him, He provides all we need. We’re not called to live stagnant lives—we’re called to be stirred into purpose.
Mothers reflect this in their homes. They encourage, motivate, and challenge us to grow. Their presence can both comfort and spark movement toward what’s next. Moms, you have the power to stir greatness in your children. Use it boldly.

2. He Hovers Over Us
God never takes His eyes off us. He watches day and night, guiding and protecting every step.
Mothers do this too. With a God-given intuition, they sense what’s going on — even the things that aren’t said. They’re aware of their children’s needs, friends, and direction.
This isn’t about being a helicopter parent; it’s about being present, prayerful, and purposeful. Moms, your watchfulness is a gift. Your prayers and presence carry incredible weight.
3. He Spreads His Wings and Lifts Us
God lifts us to heights we could never reach on our own. He raises our heads, our expectations, and our sense of purpose.
Likewise, mothers lift their children through words, love, and consistent encouragement. Moms, you help your kids rise above challenges and see who they really are. Your leadership shapes their future in powerful ways.
4. He Carries Us to Safety
Safety is one of our deepest needs — and God is our ultimate protector. His way is best, His plan is sure, and His covering brings peace.
Mothers reflect this too. There’s a fierce, protective love that rises when their kids are threatened. It’s instinctive, passionate, and God-given.
Healthy moms protect not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. They create homes where identity is nurtured and kids are free to grow into who God made them to be.
To all mothers, mother figures, and future mothers:
God has placed great influence in your hands. Walk in it with confidence. Your role is vital, and your presence is powerful.
We need you. We honor you. And we thank God for you.
