The Family CEO
Who is the family CEO? Mom!!!
Mothers are awesome and as we approach Mother’s Day, I honor you and say, thank you. Without you, we wouldn’t be here and our families would be chaos.
Mothers have the ability to multi-task and keep everything going in the right direction. They truly are the CEO of the family and their impact is massive.
From schedules, work, school, the house, food, family, and more, Mothers are navigating multiple things at the same time. Furthermore, I can’t imagine carrying a baby and then giving birth, wow! Mothers, thank you. We love you.
So this blog is to encourage Mothers and to remind us how great Mothers are.
Mothers, you are leaders. Your CEO skills are helping things get done and seeing that the family development is happening. Your impact is beyond words because it touches the deep parts of us and soothes our lives.
Your leadership is building the home.
“A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.”
Proverbs 14:1
As the family CEO, your touch builds, your love builds, & your conversations build. Your efforts build the home more than you know and impact much more than you can see.
So, here are three things I’d like every Mother to know.
1st – Your attention matters.
Your affirmation, your words, and your time for us mean more than we share. When you do this, our hearts are warmed and we feel loved all the way through. No matter how old we are, we need this from you because there is no one like you.
While the stages of life change, your attention will always be special and desired. Your attention gives peace, security, and confidence to who we are.
2nd – Your faith matters.
Your connection to God impacts us and we notice it. We pick up on your faith through your prayers, your worship, and your actions. We’re watching and listening and right now, we’re reviving more than you know.
We know you’re not perfect but we’re receiving from you and gleaning from your example.
When we hear you pray we think about it. When we hear you worship, it moves us. When you pray over us we feel it.
3rd – Your life matters.
Your life matters! So many times you’re the CEO behind the scenes, making things come together but without you, it may not be happening. You matter and your purpose is great.
What you do daily is impacting you in ways we know and don’t know. You can’t see it but it’s working. You may feel overlooked but we see you. Your presence gives a feeling of completion in our lives and when we think of all you’ve done, our hearts are melted with love.
You helped shape us and mold us into the people we are. Your legacy will live past your lifetime and it ripples to the next generations.
Please keep going and please know, your life matters.
Here are two things I’d like to share with the rest of us.
1st – Take time for your mom.
We’re all busy. We must make the moments count and take time for our moms. Showing love, taking time, and being present is huge and it goes a long way.
I’ve talked to so many families that are disconnected, isolated and have rooms filled with pink elephants. Please don’t let that be. Move forward and take time for your mom.
It’s worth it!
2nd – Do faith together.
There’s something special about sharing an active faith with our moms. Praying together, going to church together if possible, and being connected spiritually are profound. This adds another layer to the bond we have with her and through this, we can see God move.
I encourage you today, please engage with your mom spiritually and connect with her through Christ! God is moving through these efforts.
To every Mother or future Mother thank you! You are the family CEO and there’s no one like you.
You’re a leader and through your influence, great things are happening.
Happy Mother’s Day and the best is yet to come,
PD
