The Whispers of Creation

Did you know that creation speaks to us?

I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. God is the creator of the heavens and earth and from His creation, there are messages for us to hear and learn.

“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”

Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬

Notice that creation reveals the Godhead and shows His divine nature and eternal power. This is huge because daily, God is showing us who He is through the creation we see around us and if we listen, we will hear the whispers of creation.

One aspect of His divine nature is that He’s our provider, and creation reveals this truth.

This is big because the pressure we feel navigating money, work, our needs, our mindsets about money, our fears about the future, and more are pulling on our emotions and thoughts. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by these details and the area of money and God can be challenging and a process.

But through all of this, the whispers of creation speak eternal truth about who He is as our provider. When we hear these whispers we’re built up and empowered in our faith to believe that God is with us and He will provide.

Notice what the scripture about this.

“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”

Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭26‬

“He gives food to every living thing. His faithful love endures forever.”

Psalms‬ ‭136‬:‭25‬

“As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

Genesis‬ ‭8‬:‭22‬

These verses show us that God is involved with the daily supply of food for creation. He feeds EVERY living thing! Think about that. He’s big and if He feeds the birds, He will feed us, provide our needs, and help us healthily lead our money.

In Genesis 8:22 God reveals there is seed time and then harvest time.

Where I live we see this clearly with all of the farming we have. Right now as I write this, we’re in the Fall season and soon all of the fields will be harvested and then distributed for us to have food. But then they plant the seeds months before the harvest.

The corn stalks don’t grow to the full height immediately, it takes time and a process before the harvest comes. This is a spiritual truth revealed through creation. Every time we drive by a cornfield, it’s whispering to us, that God is our provider. You will reap what you’ve sown. Keep going. Don’t quit. Keep giving, keep praying, keep believing, and keep worshiping because the seed you don’t see is growing for the harvest.

This is what Paul said about this.

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9

Notice that we will reap a harvest!

Our seed sown is growing, moving, and increasing. Something happens when we trust God as our provider. He’s empowered to do what we can’t do and to give what we don’t have. This truth whispers to us every day through creation.

Creation is whispering to us, that God provides and that includes you. We see it in farming, we see it with the animals, and we see it in the seasons.

He is our provider!

Therefore, when we navigate money with God, we can be at peace. If He provides for the birds, and if He feeds every living thing, He will provide for us and help us thrive in the area of money.

So, here are two ways to thrive in the area of money with God.

1st – Believe that He cares about this area of your life.

This is BIG.

If God cares about the birds being fed, how much more does He care about you being fed and provided for?

This is why we must listen to the whispers of creation because they reveal the divine nature of God being our provider. He’s providing daily and His supply doesn’t run out.

He’s our source for ALL we need and when it comes to money, He cares about it and He wants us to have leadership over it. We serve God then money serves us.

God cares about every aspect of our lives and when He’s allowed in these areas, He brings peace, order, health, His blessing, and provision. Every part of us God has something for it. His salvation is for our total person.

So when you see a blue Jay, a cardinal, or a robin, be encouraged that God cares more about you than them and He’s providing for you.

Believe this! Let the doubt, disappointment, fear, worry, greed, and selfishness dissipate when you hear the whispers of creation.

Choose to believe today!

2nd – Do money in God’s way.

Doing money in God’s way opens our hearts to trust Him and to make Him our treasure. It also gives God the chance to bless us in multiple ways. When my life is in God’s hand, I can give Him what’s in my hand and then he multiplies it.

This is what we see in corn fields when the seed leaves the farmer’s hand and goes into the ground, it is multiplied with a harvest of corn. Regarding finances, when we give God seed through tithes and offerings, it leaves our hand and it goes into His ground of provision. He then causes it to multiply into a harvest of many types of blessings.

But, we have to let God this area of our lives just like other areas too.

It’s possible to love Jesus and block Him out of your marriage. It’s possible to love Jesus and block Him out of your relationships. It’s possible to love Jesus and block Him out of your money too.

So, will we let Him in?

He has good things for us. He has a plan for every part of our lives and this includes the area of money.

I encourage you to hear the whispers of creation. It reveals the pattern of His provision and the consistency of His character. When we don’t see it, He’s working. When we don’t feel it, He’s working. He never stops working, He never stops providing, He never stops listening and He never stops giving.

This is Jesus and with Him, the best is yet to come!
