Way maker

Way Maker

God will make a way for you!

This is a promise we have from who He is through scripture. Over and over God has made a way for His people to triumph and overcome. When it was impossible to man, He did it. When there was no Hope, He did it. When they didn’t deserve it, He did it. When they didn’t understand how, He did it. When they tried everything, He did it.

Our God is a Way Maker!

This is important for us to remember because God does the impossible. He works miracles and comes through on what He said.

This applies to saving, healing, delivering, changing, empowering, restoring, providing, vision, purpose, and fulfillment. He’s all we need and He gives us the chance to see Him make a way for us.

He is our Way Maker!

There’s no doubt He has and when we remember these moments, it fuels our faith to believe He’ll do it again.

Here’s what the psalmist remembered about what God did.

“Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters— a pathway no one knew was there!”

Psalms‬ ‭77‬:‭19‬

Notice it says, “a pathway no one knew was there.”

God made a way out of no way for them. He parted the Red Sea and they walked through it on dry ground. This is our God and He’s still the Way Maker!

This is what I felt for 2024, the year of the Way Maker. My faith is stirred believing that He’s already making ways to bring us through —- into what He has promised.

Your family, marriage, kids, finances, health, hope, purpose, career, faith, business and more?

No matter what it is He can do it. What He’s asking from us is to believe and give Him a chance to do it.

What does it mean to give Him a chance to do it?

What moves God is our faith, not our need. Faith pleases God and it moves Him to action. Jesus was awed by great faith and He released miracles through it.

This doesn’t mean we earn God’s touch or force Him to do it. But we can touch God through our faith. This is our part in giving God a chance to move.

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬

So here are some ways we can move in faith and give God a chance to move.

First

We can give Him finances through the local church and put Him to the test. This is found in Malachi 3:10-12. Giving God our finances is a way of giving to Him and in return He blesses us in ways only He can. This is a faith thing.

Second

We can love people despite what they’re doing. We can forgive, serve, and help them beyond what they deserve. This is showing them the love of God and in the process helping us be more like Him. This is a big way we give God a chance to make a way.

Third

We serve His people. Being involved in a local church is a faith thing too. It’s spiritual and it’s releasing the will of God through acts of service. Being an usher, greeter, worshiper on stage, teaching kids, parking team, production and so much more are ways we serve God. Doing these things gives Him a chance to move.

Fourth

Prayer and fasting. Something happens when we pray and fast. Especially when we’re specific in what we are praying about. This gives clarity about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. We do not pray and fast to manipulate God‘s will. However, we pray and fast to get close to God and to see Him move.

He still responds to His people. Throughout scripture, He answered the cries of His people and moved on their situation when they prayed and fasted. Go for it! Be willing to participate in what God is doing and reach for Him with prayer and fasting.

This is a faith thing and these are ways we give God a chance to move!

There’s no doubt that 2024 will have challenges, but He is with you. He’s able to make a way you don’t know is there.

He’s the Way Maker and with Him nothing is impossible. In fact, because of Jesus, we can say, “I’m Possible” by his Holy Spirit in our lives.

So I encourage you to reach out to God, give Him a chance to move, and see the Way Maker do something great in your life!

The best is yet to come,
PD
